Our Channel Isn’t Changing — We’re Just Expanding Our Community

We recently launched our Patreon as a way to connect more closely with those of you who want to be part of the behind-the-scenes experience — and we want to take a moment to be completely transparent with all of you.

The other week, we received a comment accusing us of doing a “money grab” and no longer being honest with our viewers. That hurt, because that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Let us set the record straight:

Nothing Is Changing on the Channel

Our weekly YouTube uploads are NOT going away.

We’re not hiding content behind a paywall.

We’re not changing our tone, our style, or our values.

We’re not turning our community into a cash machine.

We’ve always created videos for the love of big BMX, the fun of riding in the 808, and the joy of connecting with like-minded people. That’s not changing.

Why We Started a Patreon

One of the biggest things we’ve introduced is our private Discord server — a chill, supportive space for riders, fans, and friends of the channel to:

  • Share ride photos, bikes, and gear setups

  • Join in on weekly ride prompts and group discussions

  • Ask questions, offer advice, or just chat with us and others

  • Get early updates on what’s coming to the channel

Think of it as a digital clubhouse where we can all hang out between uploads. If you’ve ever wanted to connect with others who love big BMX like you do, this is that space.

We’re also using Patreon to offer:

  • Behind-the-scenes content

  • Sneak peeks at upcoming videos

  • Direct conversations with us

  • And more ways to be part of the creative process

No pressure to join — but the door is open if you want in.

Where the Funds Go

We’re not pocketing profits or buying fancy gear.

Any proceeds from Patreon go straight back into the channel — mainly helping Bernie and I cover travel costs to events like DirtyFest, where we film some of your favorite content. These trips are what make our channel fun and fresh, and we love sharing those adventures with you.

Our Commitment to You

We’re grateful to everyone — whether you’re a subscriber, a commenter, a liker, or a future Patron.

We’re going to keep doing what we’ve always done: ride, film, share, and stay real.

We’ve built this channel to share our love of all things BMX. We’re building our Patreon with the same.

Thanks for riding with us,

Kevin & Bernie
